Let's Celebrate with Blog Candy!!!
Wow! I really never thought I'd get into blogging, but this little adventure has been such a blessing to me and I hope those of you that visit. Ü I just got notification that I've had 2000 hits on my blog since May 2007! How cool is that!?!
So, since I've never done ***BLOG CANDY*** before, I thought now would be the most opportune time. All you have to do is leave a comment on any of my posts (I get an email notifying me when someone does) and I will put your name into a drawing and the winner will receive a cute paper crafts purse with 8 cards and envelopes! You can see a sample below, but the winner's will most likely be different since I already gave that one away. Ü That way you can be surprised!
Best Wishes! Pamela

Be Excellent
Good Morning! Ü
Today is going to be an excellent day! It's all about the choice you make when you arise in the morning...whether it will be excellent or mediocre. My pastor has been preaching on just this subject for the last few months...'Strive to be excellent in everything you do'. It's a difficult path to take each and every day, but God is calling us to 'be excellent'.
I wanted to share with you a quote from James Ray that I got in my email box this morning...
"When you find the goodness and gifts in all life's situations, even the most difficult, the universe guarantees more goodness and gifts."
As I said above...It's all a matter of choice. Ü
Have a blessed day and make it from your heart! Pamela

Paper Crafts Purse and Cards
I found this adorable purse template on another stamper's blog, Barefoot Stamper, and just had to try it with Close To My Heart's Life Delights Paper Packet and My Acrylix stamps. Isn't it just the cutest thing!?!
I created 8 cards to go inside the purse...4 designs, 2 of each design. Here are the other cards included inside the purse.
Here's wishing you a wonderful and blissful weekend! Pamela

{b} you
Can you believe it? I've completed two 2-page layouts in less than a week! This one is of my son learning to play his uncle's guitar back in July. I had to capture the event on film because I am still amazed at Shaymus' interest in music. It all started when we got him the video game, Guitar Hero. We all learned to play the game and it made for a fun family evening last fall. Shaymus has become an expert on almost every song, so we thought it might be fun to learn how to play a real guitar. I think he is a natural at it, so we probably need to start some real guitar lessons.
All the materials used for my layout are Close To My Heart products. Isn't this paper the coolest!?! I just love how trendy it is. I am also loving the new scrapbook instruction book by Jeanette Lynton called Imagine. It has 50 new layout concepts and includes cutting diagrams and assembly instructions...sure does make scrapbooking faster, simpler, and easier! Ü
The colors used are Autumn Terracotta, Honey, Indian Corn Blue and Cocoa...from the new MRK Free Spirit Paper Packet. I used the 'b' solo alphabet stamp set and Legendary Moments stamp set and I covered the new Dimensional Elements Simple Alphabet (lower case) using B&T.
