Are You Living In CHAOS?

Can't Have Anyone Over Syndrome? Ü Then be sure to visit Flylady!

I found this website quite a few years ago and every now and then I have to visit it again to get back on track. Flylady has helped me get my home in order (or back in order) many times over the years and I realized just recently it was that time again. Ü

I don't realize sometimes how disorganized I'm getting and how I start to let things go and then BAM! It hits me one day and I start thinking...'Flylady...where are you???' LOL!

Flylady's motto is...'You Can Do Anything in 15 Minutes'.

This past week, Flylady's zone mission was for the master bedroom and she gives you missions each day to work on. Our master bedroom had gotten out of control! Unfortunately, I didn't think to take any pictures before I started decluttering, so you will have to use your imagination. Ü I had clothes piled high in my rocking chair, an old mattress leaning against the wall that we hadn't bothered to put in the shop yet, a baby pack 'n play we hadn't used and needed to move downstairs, a dying fern in the corner, cluttered nightstands and dust bunnies galore.

So, this past week, I've been working pretty hard to declutter and turn our master bedroom back into a sanctuary for us. Here are the results of many 15 minute increments combined...

Caitlyn can actually sit in the rocker now!

Now I'm looking forward to next month's master bedroom zone work so I can do some of those things I've been meaning to do for awhile now, like...get curtains on the other two windows, get a quilt rack to put underneath my 'believe' sign and maybe even getting some new bedding. Ü

Hope this gives you some inspiration to tackle any cluttered areas of your own home!

From Me to You

This is the GREATEST kit CTMH has ever put together by no doubt! It is the From Me to You Card Kit that is available only during September. I spent last weekend assembling my first set of cards. The kit comes with enough materials to create two sets of each card design, so I still have 8 cards to recreate. Ü The kit includes a stamp set, precut cardbases and envelopes, precut cardstock, ribbon, brads, popdots, 3 mini ink pads and sandpaper. This is a must have!

Aren't they just the cutest cards!?! Ü I love them!

Bevyn's First Scrapbook Layouts Ü

I'm so proud of myself! I actually completed Bevyn's first layout for her baby album yesterday during my scrappin' time with two of my girlfriends. Ü I had decided a while back that I would be using the CTMH More to Adore paper packet thru out the entire album and I decided yesterday while creating that I will do the same layout concept (from the NEW CTMH Imagine Book) I used here for each month.

My plan is to take pictures of Bevyn each month with her pink and white stuffed puppy dog to show how much she has grown. Each layout will have the corresponding solo # (ex. month 1, month 2, etc.) in the upper right corner and then my journaling blocks will include characteristics of her and what she has done over the past month.

I kept the layout fairly simple so that it would be easy to recreate. I will probably use different b&t patterns each month...mixing and matching them from the More to Adore paper packet. The colors used are Blush, Hollyhock, Chocolate and Colonial White. I used some chocolate organdy ribbon and hollyhock brads on this layout.

Wishing you a blessed day! Pamela

Decisions, Decisions

I can't wait til tomorrow morning! I have a scrappin' date with a good friend scheduled for 9a. Ü It is long over due and since all the kids are back to school (except for the baby), we should be able to get some good scrappin' and chattin' in.

Now I have to decide what I want to work on...hmmmm.

I need to start on Bevyn's baby album, but I'm dying to play with some of my new CTMH paper packets and stamps from the new Fall/Winter Idea Book. I guess I'll set a goal of creating a layout for Bevyn's 1st month since I got the new '1' solo stamp set and then I can use the new CTMH paper packet, Free Spirit, which I know will work great with some photos of my son and his uncle playing guitar.

I've been throwing some ideas around in my head for titles like, 'b you' (can use my solo alphabet stamps) and 'because of you' (got that one from the latest Reba McEntire and Kelly Clarkson duet).

Alrighty then! I will post my creations as soon as I'm done...check back soon!

My Therapy

I have always considered my crafting time to be a form of therapy and it has proven to be that and so much more during this past few weeks. I am starting to feel so much better and thought I should do a quick update on my condition and share a few projects that completed over the last month or so.

As I said, I am feeling much better and starting to feel back to normal...almost. Ü I didn't realize how much a new baby would change things around here, but we are starting to find a 'new' normal. We are all having a blast with the baby and I'm hoping to start her baby scrapbook soon and then I can share some of it with you.

Until then, I can share a few cards that I have made over the last month. One I made for a baby shower, another for my mom's birthday and several others that coordinate with the last two that I posted that I made for a swap I participated in. The last item is a 9x9 layout.

Until next time...sweet blessings!

Life Is Unpredictable

Life is unpredictable. Ü Like I didn't already know that.

I recently gave birth to our 3rd child (5 weeks ago) and here I am in the middle of what they call 'postpartum depression'.

After doing some research online and starting on some medication...I felt it necessary to speak out for anyone else that may be going through this or has in the past.

I believe that everything that I 'go through' is for a reason and that God will provide a way for us and that we shouldn't be ashamed about it.

I'm not going to be silent about this because I know God has His plan for my life and this is definitely a part of my story to work through and share. Ü

Please be in prayer for myself and my family and all the women that deal with 'postpartum depression'. I'm learning now from experience that it does exist.

God bless, Pamela

P.S. Here's a website with some wonderful information for those suffering from 'postpartum depression' - http://www.postpartum.net/index.html
