A Sweet Discovery in an Unexpected Place

Here I am patiently waiting for yet another new Close To My Heart idea book to arrive on my door step, so I thought I'd pull out the new Heart of Winter campaign collection, Serendipity, and create some artwork...seeing as I haven't posted anything in several weeks.

I have yet to take the photos that I'd like to use on this scrapbook page. Since having the new baby, we haven't taken any family photos of all of us together, so this will give me the perfect reason to dress us all up and snap a few photos.

This special collection is so incredible! It comes with 12 b&t duo sheets, 6 textured cardstocks, and 3 sheets of textured die cuts. It's so fun to mix and match the die cuts and build cute flowers with them. It even comes with a stamp set that can be used on the die cuts! CTMH is Awesome!
Now back to the waiting game...I know my idea books will be here soon, but while I wait...I will continue to create.
Sweet blessings, Pamela

Holiday Open House

This is what I worked on most of last week with two of my downline with Close To My Heart...

We participated in a home-based business holiday open house on Saturday for the Mothers of Preschoolers at a local church. We had a great time networking with all the other local home-based business consultants and were able to connect with some old and new customers at the same time.

We spent all of Friday evening preparing our booth and my dh even helped us make the back drop for our display boards to hang on. Now we are ready to participate in more! Ü

Well...just thought I'd share what I've been up to lately. I'm hoping to get some scrapbooking done today and then I can share it with you!

Have a blessed day and make it from your heart! Pamela

Christmas is in the Air

Well...almost! My friend, Katy, and I played this weekend and made up these cards for an upcoming Christmas card workshop we are doing together. The card designs were borrowed from another consultant though we used a different stamp set...so they look a bit different from the originals.

We are planning to make 4 of each design for a total of 20 cards for the workshop. We used lots of techniques including...prisma glitter (on the snowman), fun flock (on the santa), paper piecing (on the tree), sparkles (on the tree), watercoloring (on the holly berries), and generation stamping (on the Merry Christmas message). We also played around with the new CTMH Distressing Kit. Be sure to look close at the snowman card...see how awesome the Black Stubble tool works with the new White Daisy ink pad! Fun, fun, fun!

Hope you enjoyed an early Christmas greeting! God bless you today, Pamela

My New Scrapbook Purse

Update 12/4/2008: The link on Creating Keepsakes/Simple Scrapbooks is no longer available. I've tried searching for instructions to no avail. Here are the materials that I used and a little information I can remember...

I used Scotch Self-Sealing Laminating Pouches (for 8 1/2 x 11) that I purchased at Wal-Mart. The clear binding/lacing I purchased from Hobby Lobby. I used my crop-a-dile to punch the holes. I created the layouts and when inserting them into the pouches, made sure the adhesive side was on the back of the layout. I cut the pouches for the sides down to 4" wide x 8 1/2" long and the bottom down to 4" wide x 11" long and rounded the corners. I purchased the handles from Hobby Lobby and attached them with metal rings through large eyelets I got in the sewing department.

If you have any other questions, please let me know. Pamela

Here is where you can find the instructions for this scrapbook purse/tote...

Finally! I've been wanting to make one of these purses for months...ever
since I saw a fellow consultant making them at a scrapbook retreat I went to in
June. I came home from that retreat and purchased everything I needed to make
one and then never got around to it...probably because I was so busy having a
baby and making the adjustment. Ü

Anyway, I finally sat down last week
and made my first one after seeing one that a church friend had purchased from
another individual. If you like it and want more information about them, holler
at me...I'd love to show you how to make one or make one for you! Ü

Here's to a wonderful day...make it from your heart! Pamela
