You're Invited...

I made 16 of these cards for a dear friend that wanted to personally invite her co-workers to participate in a bible study she will be doing in the coming weeks. I chose to go with an autumn theme on the cards and used CTMH's MRK Enchanted. I was inspired by some artwork from last year's Fall/Winter Idea Book.

Sweet Blessings, Pamela

Whoa! You are not going to believe this...

I actually purchased a stamp set that wasn't CTMH!?! I have really enjoyed checking out all the stamping blogs out there and one of my favorites now is Nicole Heady's blog aka Papertrey Ink. I love her style and the Papertrey stamp sets have really peeked my interest lately. I recently purchased the Everyday Blessings and Silent Night stamp sets.

Here is a sample card using Everyday Blessings with some left over card kits I had from a card workshop I did recently. The paper is from CTMH (of course), MRK Perfect Day.

I absolutely love this quote! It is so true to life right now...not only in my life, but that of many of my friends as well. I was very impressed with the crispness of the stamped images and the packaging of the stamp sets was so clean and sharp. I just love Nicole's style!

May you enjoy your week! Pamela

Festive Fall Goodies

I had the chance to do a little stamping last night and I got to play more with my Cuttlebug and my new Nestibilities. The local craft store is actually carrying the Nestibilities now, so I was able to pick up the embossing pad I was needing so I could use the Nestibilities to their full potential.

The card below is using the Rectangle Nestibilities and the CTMH October Word Puzzle. I pulled out the MRK Enchanted, which I never used last year. I used Autumn Terracotta & Cocoa cardstock. I stamped the witch and bat in Black, and sponged Sunflower ink inside the moon. The October sentiment is stamped in Pansy Purple ink. The brads are Buttercup My Accents which are soon to be retired. There is also a strip of Cocoa Designer Ribbon over top the B&T.

I was very happy to sit and create for a little while last night. Our schedule has been hectic since going back to work. I'm looking forward to this week because we have nothing big planned until the Halloween weekend when we have our community Trunk 'n Treat and the school Fall Festival.

Today at church we had our 1st Annual Fall Festival. It was so much fun! The food was excellent and there were so many fun activities to partake in.

As I was trying to decide what to take for the dessert auction, I had thoughts of what the gatherings must have been like many years ago. I also thought about all the fun things my mom used to do with us when we were little. I remembered making caramel apples every year and I realized I hadn't had one for years! I'd never even made them with my kids, so that is what we did last night. Caitlyn and I made them and they were delicious!

So, this morning before church, I packaged up three of them into individual clear cello lunch sacks I got from www.clearbags.com.  I tied them closed with twill and made tags using my Circle Nestibilities and CTMH's Thoughtful Seasons stamp set.

They turned out so cute!  Well, I guess someone else really liked them too, because they went for $55! LOL! That was the first bid too!

Well, it's late and I need to get some rest for the upcoming week. I am hoping to get some much needed scrapping and stamping done this week, so check back soon.

Have a blessed week! Pamela

With My Appreciation

Are you aware that October is Pastor Appreciation Month? We are at our church and we are attempting to show our appreciation not only to our pastor, but to his family as well. My pastor's wife is a member of one of my scrapbook clubs and she also loves to make cards, so I decided I'd give her one of the 'Just Because' card kits that were on special last month. I knew she would appreciate it. ;O)

I didn't want to put it into a gift bag, so I created a tag to wrap around it using my new Cuttlebug and Nestibilities that I got in the mail last week. I also created one of the cards from the kit using my own card kit. I thought it turned out lovely and it was fun to leave it on her office desk at the church this past week. Her reaction was priceless.
