Animal Cookies Anyone?

Before I get to my animal cookies artwork, I have to thank Amy McGrew for my very 1st blog award! How cool is that!?! I will post more about it in a follow up post…just wanted to share.

Now, back to the animal cookies…

Mmmmm…mmmmm…mmmmm…I LOVE this new kit by Close To My Heart! I chose it for my Stampers  from the Heart team swap and had so much fun creating. Because of the bright summer colors included, I chose to use lots of white cardstock to keep it simple and clean.

Anyway…here is a 5x7 card I made from a sample my dear friend and team mate shared with me. I duplicated best I could using all CTMH products.

Below is a new card design from Jeanette’s latest Card Confidence Program, Wishes. It is a 4-1/2 x 4-1/2 card. Please excuse the  mangled corner on the Dutch Blue half circle. Had a little trouble in transit from Scrapbook Fiesta to home.

Happy Mother’s Day

I’ve been busy today creating these awesome decorative dry erase boards and flower pot cards for my MOM and my MIL. I got the idea off the CTMH consultant bulletin boards and I’m so happy how they turned out!

I picked up my picture frames 1/2 off at Hobby Lobby this week. I chose an 8 x 10 insert for both.

On this one, I used the new CTMH Bella Paper Packet along with the featured My Acrylix stamp set, Endless Friendship. I just love the colors. It’s been quite some time since I’ve used Smokey Plum and it looks so pretty with the Desert Sand and Olive.

These were so fun to make! I wish I was able to sit at home and create all day every day! I may have to make this into a workshop in the near future.

I used a retired paper packet called, Elegant Bouquet…one of my all time favorites!

Mother’s Day Prayer for You

Thank You, Holy Father,

for Your special gift of mothers;

for the example of Your unconditional love they share with their children.

Thank You for the mother who lets her child know without doubt he or she is loved,

and for the child who returns that love.

Lord, today we pray You will protect and guide mothers everywhere;

that You will grant them Your wisdom in loving and teaching their children.

Today, may children everywhere remember the warm caresses and whispers in the night;

the tears dried and Band-Aids, the peach cobbler, the laughter;

and the blood curdling scream, "No!" at the brink of danger.

Thank You for the mothers who played with us, taught us, nurtured us,

fed us, listened to us and tried to understand us.

Today, may we remember Mom's beauty when we were young;

and her loveliness discovered as we aged.

Lord, today draw especially close the mothers who are alone,

for whatever reason;

and grant them Your comfort, Your pleasure, Your peace.

And, Lord, for children who are alone, because of distance, death, or indifference,

may good memories flood their minds.

And if there is not a good memory,

may forgiveness burst forth from their hearts

and revive in them long lost joy.

Thank you particularly for phone calls today,
