What a Cute Little Project to Wrap Up 2009!

I love making these Post-It Note Keychains! They are so stinkin’ cute and will be great to have on hand on Saturday when the new 2010 Spring Idea Book is revealed at my Idea Book Celebration!

I will be giving one of these to each guest as they arrive along with their very own copy of the 2010 Spring Idea Book so they can easily mark their favorite new products.

Here are the instructions for creating your own post-it note keychain…

You will need:

  • 3-1/4” x 2” piece of Chocolate Cardstock
  • 1” x 2” piece of  Topstitch Heavenly Blue B&T Duo
  • 3/4” x 2” piece of Topstitch Stripe B&T Duo
  • Colonial White Cardstock scrap (for stamped image)
  • Vineyard Berry Exclusive Inks Pad
  • Baby Pink Exclusive Inks Pad
  • 1-1/2” x 2” post-it note (divided into 1/4ths)
  • coordinating ribbons
  • Sparkles
  • book ring
  • Crop-A-Dile
  • My Acrylix Stamp Set Love is in the Air (exclusively available in the Topstitch Workshop on the Go Kit)
  • 2” x 2” acrylic block

Score the 3-1/4” x 2” piece of Chocolate Cardstock on the long side at 1-9/16” & 1-11/16”. Fold at score lines. Insert post-it notes and then punch hole using the Crop-A-Dile through all layers in the upper left corner.

Adhere the 3/4” x 2” piece of Topstitch Stripe B&T Duo to the 1” x 2” piece of Topstitch Heavenly Blue B&T Duo then adhere this to the front of the Chocolate Cardstock, centering it between the punched hole and the bottom.

Next you need to attach the book ring through the punched hole and tie some coordinating ribbon around the book ring.

Stamp the pinwheel image onto the Colonial White Cardstock scrap in Vineyard Berry ink then after you clean your stamp, turn it over on your block and stamp the back of the image on top of the previous image you stamped in Baby Pink ink. This will color in the stitching on the pinwheel stamp and give it a rich color.

Cut out and adhere the stamped image using a glue dot onto the front of the Chocolate Cardstock. And finally, adhere a large sparkle to the center of the pinwheel. Viola!
