It’s been quite a while since I created AND completed a scrapbook layout, so that is what I have to share with you this round. I created my Christmas cards this year using the oh-so fabulous Cricut CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge and I had a few leftover cut-outs that I decided to use to create this layout…
I used a retired CTMH Creative Basics Kit called Mistletoe to create this layout. My goal this new year is to use up A LOT of what I already have…so this was my 1st creation towards my new goal.
To create the cut-out shape above, I cut the Cranberry B&T Duo using the shape featured on page 53 of the Cricut CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge booklet <Square 4> at 11-1/4”. The inside shape & photo were cut using the same shape at 11”.
All the Cranberry & New England Ivy B&T Duos on the page above were cut using the same shape on the first page at 3-3/4”. The inside shape and photos were cut at 3-1/2”.
I used the January Stamp of the Month as part of my title to include the date of the photos. I did a little masking to get the shading on the ‘Dec’. I stamped the image onto typing paper and cut out the ‘Dec’ and then layered the mask onto the piece above and sponged Garden Green ink to highlight ‘Dec’.
I also used the ‘Let’s Celebrate’ stamp as part of my title above.
I debated with whether to leave more of the smaller cut-outs for journaling and then finally decided I’d use little flags that I cut using the Cricut CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge. I included our family name and labeled a few of the kids photos with their names on the opposite page.
The center piece of the second layout used pieces I had leftover from my Christmas cards…which inspired the entire layout! The sentiment comes from D1492 My Acrylix Christmas Love stamp set.
