Today we can feature any shape our heart desires, so I am focusing on the award pennant shape on pg. 55 of the Cricut Artiste Handbook. I started creating my award ribbon by cutting the award pennant shape at 3-1/2” using Cranberry cardstock.
I used the Cricut Artiste cartridge to cut all the circle shapes…the Smoothie cardstock circle (behind the award pennant & under ‘You’re the Best) at 3” & 1-3/4”, the B&T Duo paper at 2-3/4” & the Colonial White cardstock at 1-1/4” using the Pear & Partridge Paper Packet.
I stamped the round award ribbon using Cranberry ink onto the coordinating Dimensional Elements award shape (included in the Cricut Artiste Collection) & layered that onto the B&T Duo paper.
Using the Cricut Artiste Collection My Acrylix ‘Kudos’ stamp set, I stamped one of the circle images onto the 1-3/4” Smoothie cardstock and the ‘You’re the Best’ stamp onto the 1-1/4” Colonial White cardstock.
Several layers are adhered with 3-D Foam Tape to give added dimension and all the pieces were sponged with Chocolate ink. Add Sparkles to bling your ribbon up a bit.
Lastly, I used more of the Dimensional Element banners from the Cricut Artiste Collection for the tails of the award ribbon. Using Chocolate ink, I stamped the banner tail onto the Dimensional Element banner shapes. I then cut a thin strip of Cranberry cardstock & Smoothie ribbon to layer on top of the banner shapes. Again, sponge everything with Chocolate ink and adhere to the back of the award ribbon with Liquid Glass and add a hanger using Baker’s Twine Harvest Assortment.
