Heart 2 Heart Challenge – CTMH Father’s Day Card

This week, the Heart 2 Heart Challenge blog is bringing us another From Our Heart to Yours challenge - this time, sharing various ways to create backgrounds using ink. From there, they took their creative background papers and turned them into cards for Dad! So this week's challenge is to create your own background paper (using stamping/ink) and then making a card for Father's Day.

Here is my creation for the challenge using the ‘Lucky’ Workshops on the Go Kit along with the ‘Old World’ Alphabet to create a card for my dad.

Here is the stamp set I used to create the random stamped background…

See the quarter circle design next to the ‘LIVE LIFE’ stamp? I used that stamp to create a full circle design randomly on the card base in Desert Sand ink. I also used the set of lines in a diagonal pattern over top the random stamping. The fleur focal point is stamped in Desert Sand ink and rolled in Outdoor Denim ink. Another one of my favorite techniques is direct-to-paper to distress my random stamped paper. You can see a tutorial HERE for that technique.
