H2H Challenge–Layout with a Story

This week’s challenge has been one of my favorites so far. I love to scrapbook and this week’s challenge is to create a ‘Layout with a Story’. What a great challenge, right!?!

Well, I have a very special story to document for our future generations…my husband’s recent acceptance of Jesus Christ as his Lord & Savior and his public profession by baptism!

The Studio J Kit I used is called Mischief…it’s not just for Halloween and Fall.

Journaling:

This story has been 43 years in the making. It was a hot summer day in August 2011. We were down at the South Concho River in Christoval, Texas attending morning worship for the  Revival at the River when God moved in Mike's heart.  I just happened to be taking pictures of the others being baptized when Mike tapped me on the shoulder and handed me everything from his pockets. I was totally caught by surprise even though it had been a prayer of mine for years. Mike jumped into the river, accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord & Savior and brother Clifton baptized Mike in the same river that hundreds before him have been baptized in. It was truly an amazing moment. We can't wait to see what God has in store for our marriage & our family now that He is at the center of it all!

The Bible verse is: ‘For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes…’ Romans 1:16

I know I should be including a story with each and every one of my scrapbook layouts, but some times it’s just easier to put the who, what, when & where. We should actually be including the 5 Ws & an H if possible…Who, What, When Where, Why & How. I am learning this technique through a Bible study I’m leading called, The New How to Study Your Bible by Kay Arthur.
