December 2011 Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!!!

Wow…I seriously can not believe it’s December!?! This stamp of the month blog hop totally crept up on me so I’m glad I have been perusing Google Reader this week and stashing ideas in my little creative memory bank for such a  time as this! Let’s get to it…

Welcome to the Close To My Heart Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!

As I mentioned above, the end of the month totally snuck up on me. So, I took an idea I saw a day or two ago by Lisa Stenz using the November Stamp of the Month and recreated something similar using the December Stamp of the Month.

This simplistic card shows you that you can create something beautiful with minimal supplies on hand. All I used were two ink pads (Chocolate & Hollyhock) and a Colonial White card base and envelope to create this card.

I created this card with my wonderful husband in mind. We attended a weekend marriage retreat, called the Weekend to Remember, the weekend before Thanksgiving and I thought I’d write him a little love note/thank you note for attending with me. It was a BIG deal for him to take time off of work and sit in the sessions all weekend…but well worth every minute…it was amazing! I’m going to hide this card somewhere for him to find this week.

I even stamped on the envelope with some of the stamps from this awesome set and wrote his name using a Chocolate marker.
