(Big Picture Classes – One Little Word by Ali Edwards)
I absolutely LOVE that she is doing a year long class on this subject! I have been intrigued with the concept now for several years and 2010 was the first year I claimed a word. My word for 2010 was FOCUS and I had to mentally reminded myself to FOCUS throughout my day. You see, I had learned something about myself over the last few years and that was that I had a really hard time FOCUSing on one thing at a time. I always seemed to have my hands in too many things at once. I also had a hard time saying, ‘No.’ Well, after a year of FOCUS, I can honestly say that I’m doing so much better now! I have narrowed my FOCUS down to those things I’m really good at and I concentrate on doing one (maybe two) things at a time.
Now onto 2011…
As I mentioned above, I’m extremely excited that Ali Edwards has created a year long class at Big Picture Classes focused around this concept…One Little Word.
After much thought about events that took place in my life in 2010, I decided I wanted to learn how I could have better relationships with the people in my life and those I come into contact with throughout my day. There was one word that continued to pop into my head…
My word for 2011 is LOVE.
I believe with all my heart that God is telling me I need to learn to LOVE like Jesus loves.
Love means living in the way God commanded us to live. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is this: Live a life of love.
2 John 1:6 (NCV)
My prayer is that through this class and through my study of God’s Word, I will learn to live a life of love.
Below you will see that I chose to create a two-page scrapbook layout using Ali’s January class prompts and products that I love by Close To My Heart. My plan is that by the end of 2011, I will have created a beautiful scrapbook filled with my thoughts, ideas, lessons I’ve learned and photos of my journey to live a life of love.
