Mike & I had a fabulous time this past weekend in Fredericksburg, Texas! It was just the two of us spending a quite weekend together and it was our first Bed & Breakfast experience. We can’t wait to experience more in the near future.
We stayed at the Chuckwagon Inn Bed & Breakfast in the Pear Tree Cottage. It is a beautifully decorated suite that had everything for our enjoyment.
From the gas log fireplace, TV/VCR, complimentary movies, and the coffee bar with all the conveniences.
The king-size four-poster bed was draped in sheer linen gauze and the down comforter it covers is a top of the line ultra plush pillow top mattress. This pillow top mattress is so comfortable that it made us want to sleep a little longer,
but we made sure not to miss the fantastic homemade country breakfast served by the owners, Sam & Becky Higgins.
Here are a few pictures from our weekend…
We had the best steaks at this little restaurant, Hill Top Cafe, just outside of Fredericksburg on our drive in Friday evening. This is the type of place you would find Guy from Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives at. Wonder if he’s ever been?
Here I am posing for a pic outside our cottage. It was chilly and rainy when we arrived Friday night and then chilly and cloudy all day Saturday…but we still had a great time.
When we were at the cottage, we flicked a switch and were kept warm by the fire…
Well, that’s about all the pictures I took of our weekend…I know, I’m kind of upset with myself too. I did try to get one of the both of us, but it came out blurry. I will do better next time!
If you are ever in the Fredericksburg area, be sure to check out the Chuckwagon Inn Bed & Breakfast!
I’ll be back soon with some artwork to share. Have a great evening!
