Merry CHRISTmas!

What a glorious time of year! We woke up this morning to snow in West Texas! I can hardly believe it. I’m pretty sure this is the first time I ever remember it really snowing this close to Christmas in West Texas. We had to move to Hobbs, NM one year for it to snow on Christmas Day…way back in 1991!

We have already had a pretty exciting and exhausting day and we haven’t even gone to the Christmas Eve Service at church yet. Here in just a bit we will do that and then my parents and my uncle and his boys will come over and the kids will get to open their presents. Tomorrow, after Santa comes, we will go over to Mike’s folks house and spend the afternoon with them.

Earlier today we went to town and picked up my grandmother, Poppi, and we all went to Ihop for lunch. The kids really enjoyed having chocolate chip pancakes for lunch. LOL!

The hostess took a great picture of us all…

When we were done at Ihop  we went back to grandma’s apartment to exchange gifts. Poppi gave Bevyn a Tinkerbell sleeping bag with a sleeping mask and night light. She was hilarious walking down the halls with the bag on her back like a backpack.

After leaving Poppi’s house, we went to the mall shopping and Bevyn walked through the whole mall with the sleeping mask on her head! Caitlyn got a bargin on a makeup set and some jewelry and Shaymus thought about buying Bevyn some Vans that look just like his…he still might, he said. LOL!

Well, it’s getting close to time for the Christmas Eve Service, so I better get ready.

May you each have a Blessed and Merry CHRISTmas!
